Les arts de la table et ustensiles divers ont vu leur importance diminuer dans la cuisine suite aux changements des modes de consommation et de conditionnement de la seconde moitié du XXème siècle. POOL a donc imaginé de confronter un artisanat millénaire, aux contenants et ustensiles, plastiques et éphémères, qui envahissent notre quotidien. A partir de ces objets, ils ont élaboré des typologies d’usages et constitué un répertoire de formes, à lui seul évocateur de tout un univers de consommation. La bouteille d’eau ou de lait, la brique prennent une nouvelle dimension, ennoblies par le travail de la céramique. Les codes affectifs et formels auxquels ils se réfèrent sont bousculés par des couleurs et des fonctionnalités nouvelles.
